Come on, be real! Are you really going to lose weight this summer, or not?
Who's really going to lose weight? Who is really going to drop the sad excuses (busy, hungry, pms, etc.)?
Who is going to wish it will happen, and who is going to make it happen?
Who is going to finally put their foot (or fork) down and get serious about what they put in their mouth?
Who is going to get off their butt, and get into a CHALLENGING workout that will test their limits?
Who is going to leave all the people in their lives that bring them down in the dust?
Who is going to prove to all the nay-sayers and THEMSELVES that they can actually CHANGE THEIR LIVES?
Who is going to continue to lurk here for "diet ideas" that they might try Monday, and who is going to take control of their health TODAY?
If you are commited to actually getting off the fence and doing something about your weight/health, then say so! Put your comment down and make yourself accountable!
Let's stop thinking and planning and JUST DO IT!
(nike , they had something there with that slogan)

Scapoodle~ We are in this together and losing that much weight is SO doable! I love your attitude Forget all of the mind games, and just do it! middleschoolteach~ Six pounds left... Your goal is right in front of you waiting for you to push just a little bit harder.... You CAN do it, so just do it! scmjem~ There is no stopping! What is going to happen if you stop? There is no such thing as standing still. It's either make goal or don't, and you are going to make yours! Ban the excuses, and get it done so you don't have to think about it anymore! fairy2323~ You are so close, don't let the excuses and selft doubt creep in! Strengthen those muscles, but also train your mind to be strong and stay positive!

Ok Chelsae, I'm in. We have almost the same stats! I'm at 166lbs and want to be at 130. I'd like to do it by my b-day (July 20th) or at the very latest when school starts again in August. I'm doing South Beach with Weight Watchers. Basically picking the SB foods and tracking the points. I've been doing step aerobics on M&W for 1 hour each time. I want to plan another activity for Fridays; perhaps a walk or bike ride.
Are you guys following any sort of diet plan or just sensible eating? I'm off to clean out all the snacky, junk food out of my kitchen. I'll be checking back in soon.

Chelsae--your avatar pic looks incredible! I think your dh will be impressed!
I think we can do this! Last Saturday, I started strength workouts in the mornings and cardio workouts in the evening and continued all week. I woke up this morning to a 1.5 lb loss and a visit from AF! (I always GAIN weight when AF visits so this was a welcome surprise!) However my heel spurs are now acting up, so I am taking today off.

Lightfello~ Your name says it all, baby! You are going to be a light"lady" very soon! What I am most excited about for you is the fact that your BMI is going to be in the 20's soon and you are on your way to optimum health Keep it up, and remember that you can push yourself to do amazing things! Push Push Push!
Middleschoolteach~ I can't believe you lost weight and then got AF! Who does that, you are amazing! Just think about next week when it's over, even more lbs gone! You are very kind, so be kind to yourself and give those heels a break. There are many things to do exercise wise that don't include heels, so here is your chance to mix it up a bit and get creative!
HKittyCrazy~ How do I stay so positive and upbeat? It's a choice. I just heard from my Dh about an hour ago (He's in Afghanistan) and he said that he was in an extreme firefight today, like something out of a war movie. What do I do with that? I know that he is getting shot at. I know that last week his humvee hit a roadside bomb. (Praise God he is okay). I could wallow. I could cry all day, I could be depressed. OR, I could thank God that I am alive, he is alive, our daughter is alive, and we are all healthy, coherent, and for the most part doing well. We live in America. We are not starving. My husband is not dead, my daughter is a vibrant 2 yr old. I have all of my limbs, money for necessities, friends, and I believe that if I die, I will be in heaven. As long as I am alive, I will have praise for these things. Sometimes I have to tell myself out loud to be grateful. A heart of gratitude is what will get you through these times. When people forget to be grateful, then creeps in dissatisfaction. Dissatisfaction turns to depression. I will never be a victim of my circumstances. Though I seldom have control over life, these things will never take control of me. I will control my attitude, my heart, my actions. Bottom line.
It's not to say that I never struggle, Of course I have my moments of pain and sadness. It's okay to be human and admit that you're not okay all of the time! It's just important to try and have more times of joy than sadness Are you dealing with a deployment right now, HKttyCrzy?
