Post Coming off BCP

Two questions:

1. I was just wondering if anyone had normal AF right after coming off BCP. I went off BCP in April 2001 and I had AF for the first 4 months every 31 days.

2. Did anyone notice any weight gain after coming off BCP? I've been off for about 1 year now and I'm eating the same as I always have but seem to be putting on a little weight.

I lost 30 lbs. while on BCP and it came off steadily.

When I went off the BCP in college, I stopped getting AF. When I went off the BCP in June 2000, I got AF regularly for the first 3 months, then it was anywhere from 17 days to 60+ days.

I actually lost about 8 lbs. since coming off BCP this last time, it was gradual over a year or so.

Godspeed!

I went off BCP in 8/01 and had two normal AFs then nothing for months. I read somewhere that many PCOSers will ovulate right after coming off BCPs - that's why if you're TTC you should try in the first couple of months off BCP.
Also, I actually lost a few pounds after coming off BCP.

Yes I think Bitsy is right. When I came off BCP I had a perfect cycle the first month, O'd and everything, then it all got steadily worse. Now luckily things are getting steadily better, but it all takes time. I was on BCP for 7 years so I've got a lot of catching up to do!
