Question Compliments on my hair, but I'm wearing a wig

What do you say when someone compliments your hair but you're wearing a wig?

I bought some 3/4 wigs and I blend the front of my hair in with the wig to look more natural. I've been getting a lot of compliments on my hair lately. Most of the time, I just say "thank you" but sometimes people go on and on and ask more questions. Then I just tell them that it's a wig.

I guess I feel a little uncomfortable about compliments on my hair when I know it's a wig, but I don't want to tell everyone who compliments me that I'm wearing a wig. How would you handle this situation?

Hello
good question.................
i would say thank you and maybe you should reveal that it's a wig to people you know and will not make a dumb remark or something, i guess with strangers, probably no one you will ever see again, you can just thank them and tell them that you just like to take care of your hair and that's why it looks good. i guess it depends who asks you, you can pretty much know what to answer. good luck!

Do what the stars do, fake it! Just act like it's your real hair, smile and say thank you, and don't reveal your secret. I don't know what kinds of questions people are asking you, like what kind of products do you use? Or how you take care of it? In that case, I'd tell them what you used to do with your hair. Or just shrug and say "nothing special"

I don't think you need to feel bad about accepting compliments on your hair just because you wear a wig. You don't turn down compliments on an outfit just because you didn't weave the fabric and sew it yourself, do you? Obviously, people think you look good, and how you got to be that way doesn't really matter.

If you don't want to tell people about your wig, I don't think you have to either. The others have given some good advice on how to handle the situation.

Hi Roxanne..

I don't think that you're obligated to tell anybody ANYTHING about your wig. Sometimes they're just going on and on like that to see if you're going to spill the beans. If your hair looks good and you like it, just go with that and feel good about yourself. It's really none of their business. Accept the complement and keep strutting girl

Just my two cents.
