Question ?Confused?

I'm very new to this fourm stuff...all i know what to do is read what everybody else writes! Anyways, i was diagnosed with PCOS in May of 2005. My Doc put me on metformin and provera to help jumpstart my period. I am taking 850 mg of metformin and 10 mg of provera (10 days).
My question is...Is it normal for me to get my period while i'm still taking my provera? I got my period on the 8th day of provera. I'm kinda confused so if anyone could...please help! Thanks!

When my doctor gave it to me, I was told that I may start while taking it but if I did then I probably was going to anyway even if I hadn't taken the Provera at all. I'm pretty sure it was the gyn. nurse that told me this, but I'm not 100% sure about that part. HTH.

I have taken provera many times and I sometimes start between the 8th day and 4 days after . My dr told me it was normal. I wouldn't worry.

Karrina - It is fine if you get your af before you finish the pills...it used to happen to me all the time.

Depending on what your body is trying to do...sometimes you may get it right away, and sometimes it takes 2 weeks, so don't worry about...obviosly your lining was ready to shed and the provera probably helped it/made it come quicker...either way, it is doing what it is supposed to...

No need to worry, actually you are lucky - get it flowing and get it going!!!
