Default Confused!?

Hi, all I was diagnosed with PCOS a few months ago...they called me shortly after with results to my blood test and told me my thyroid was "lazy" and that it was just barely in "the range." They didn't tell me much over the phone other than when I come in next, which should be next week hopefully, they will do another blood test to decide what they what to do "with me." They also told me I need to get a doctor (I saw midwives, Women’s Inc. kinda thing) I was just wandering if someone can please tell me all they can in layman's terms as to what the range is, if having a lazy thyroid means I have hypothyroidism, if they put me on meds what is a good one, and really anything you think will be helpful...Sorry just a little frustrated that I have no idea what is going on with my own body even with reading all I can on the internet! Thanks and sorry about how much I typed!
