i actually started taking multi vitamins a few weeks ago only i'm terrible and keep forgetting to take them! shall have to make sure i do and see if that improves it. i used to be able to stay awake all night at one time now i'm lucky to keep myself awake during the day let alone at night lol.

I very often feel fatigued. I feel like I just want to lay around. I don't know if it's my job, my meds or the combination of the two. I have started to take some Vitamin B supplements as I read that your body could be depleted of that that if you are on Metformin.

Have any of you ladies had the iron levels(ferrittin) in your blood checked?? My specialist told me it was very common for women with PCOS to have low iron stores. Go to your GP and ask for a Full Blood Count and a Ferrittin and B12 blood test.
I have chronically low ferrittin levels in my blood purely because of my PCOS.

i have an office job and tend to sit around all day. i never thought it could have something to do with that but that could be partly it. i'm having blood tests on friday and hopefully going on to metformin. i shall see how those results come back and hopefully go from there. do any of you ever experience trouble sleeping at night even though you feel tired during the day?

just thought i would update you. although not sure what it means. I couldn't wait until the 6th November to find out the results of my blood tests so i called this morning. Too impatient lol. Spoke to the receptionist who told me that they were all normal and required no action. What do you think this means? i'm a little worried now in case nothing gets done or am i just overreacting?

I wouldnt worry to much my blood work all came back as normal too but my scan and things showed I have PCOS, your doc will probably talk to you about that on the 6th.

i already had a scan years ago which showed i had pcos it was all in the notes when they transfered everything over from my old doctor to my new one. she knew i had pcos when she arranged for the blood tests which i guess is why i am feeling a little uncertain about what's going to happen next

hiya just wanted to update again. went to the doctors following my blood tests. she went through them in detail. understood much better. She then went on to tell me that she wasn't going to put me on met as she thought it would do no good. she has now prescribed me with norethisterone so she can then do more tests and see if i am ovulating then depending on the outcome she is going to prescribe me with clomid. i am so pleased i went ahead and changed my doctor i really feel i'm getting somewhere now.

thanks eva i will let you know how i get on. won't be starting them until the new year. The dr wanted me to go on clomid to help with ttc so hopefully i will have a good outcome!,........... hi also smushy thanks for posting. what do you do about your sleeping pattern? i feel tired most of the day and even if i feel tired at night i am a very light sleeper and always wake up during the night. it's terrible. i thought i might be anemic but the dr told me i wasn't so must just be the pcos symptoms.

Recently i was recommended Night Nurse to help give me a good night sleep, which has worked well except if i've had to get up early the following morning i've been even more fatigued throughout the day.
I have always found it easier to sleep during the day! Coincidently i'm writing this lying in bed at 10.49am cos my period started yesterday and has knocked me for six!
