Hello everyone i am new here i just got diagnosed with pcos. today my gynocologist has diagnosed me with it and has prescribed me ,Metformin medication. I had an ultrasound done vaginally and outside to and it never showed any cysts at all! now i dont uinderstand if i had pcos wouldnt i have cysts?? and ym lsh levels was at 2..doesnt this sound normal. I do have irregualr periods so i am guessing i do have pcos..does this medication help you ovulate and have periods again?? please help anyone..

welcome to sc a woman doesnt have to have cysts on the ovaries to get diagnosed with pcos. Confusing i know i personally dont have cysts on the ovaries any more.

Ive been on met, and find that as long as i avoid greasy/fatty/sugar foods as much as poss and always eat with the met i am ok with it. here is a link to the met section of sc for you
