Unhappy Confused :*(

I used this hair remover cream for the little hairs around
my lip & for the little ones on my chin but what is
weird is that the ones around my lip didn't come back yet
but the ones on my chin did.So I'm confused :*( :*( :*(
Why did the ones around my lip didn't come back yet???
And the ones on my chin did???
What ALL does everyone think???
What ALL should I do???

* What cream did you use?
* How long ago did you use it?
* Which had grown in first -- the moustache hairs or the chin hairs?
* Which were longer before you used the cream -- the moustache hairs or the chin hairs?
* Which were coarser -- the moustache hairs or the chin hairs?
* Which, if either, were colored -- the moustache hairs or the chin hairs?

It may be that the moustache hairs were finer and weaker and more likely to be slow-growing but the chin hairs much more hormonally-stimulated. However, if you try to answer the questions we might be able to come up with a better answer for you.

Every woman has some hair on their lip. In fact if you look closely, humans are covered with fine hair pretty much all over. 'Normal' body hair for a woman ranges from very very fine hair all over to coarser hair on legs and arms and then there's that curly stuff in the bikini area. It's 'vellus hair' and it doesn't grow continuously like beard hair and head hair. It stays short and from time to time new hairs replace the old ones as they are shed. Your moustache isn't growing back as fast as your chin hair because although it's dark it's vellus hair.

Your chin hair is 'terminal hair' and it grows continuously like the hair on your head. The hormone problems from PCOS cause normal fine vellus hair to turn into terminal hair in the same places it would happen to a man.

Some people with PCOS get a lot of terminal hair on their face, some don't. Some get coarser body hair, some don't. Your hormones, ethnic origin, genetic make up all work together to determine how much and where. Medications like Spironolactone, Finasteride, and Vaniqua all help to reduce the effects of the hormones that make terminal hair grow where it doesn't belong on us.
