Default Confused

Well I have been taking Yasmin and 1500 mg of Gluc since October. I have been low carbing since December. I haven't lost much weight. I work out at least 4 times a week. I was talking with my bofriend last night and said that I might want to get off the Yasmin for a while. Since starting Yasmin I gained 25 lbs but have only lost 8 of it. He is very supportive. We are not TTC but once we get married next year we will be. I am confused. Any suggestions please.

I'd try another pill. I know I didn't do well on Yasmin and have heard of others gaining on it as well. I really liked Alesse and lost weight without trying on it but it seemed too androgenic for me. Maybe something lower dose than Yasmin.

Good LUck!! I know how frustrating this pill thing can be!

Sorry this is a little late, but I just joined. I have taken Lo-ovral for several years, and have not gained weight on it. I even went off of it for a year, and then back on, and it didn't affect my weight. Just my experiences with it. --Lisa

Yes, I'd try another bc pill. Demulen, Ovral, and Diane are low-androgenic bc pills that are commonly used successfully in PCOS patients. I've been on all of them and gained weight when I stopped taking them! If you want to start TTC next year and don't like taking the pill, I might use another method of birthcontrol altogether.
