Default confused

hi guys, firstly thank u all so much for the warm welcome!!.
Well i went to the docs for my test results the other day!!
And well i may have pcos, but i may not, the good news is i don't have the cysts!!!. but my brain is not talking to my ovaries at the moment ( i must sign them up for couples therapy).
So the doc has put me on the pill to see if that will balance out the hormones in the brain that tells the ovaries what to do. So if that doesn't work i have pcos!!!. So i'm confused!!, according to the doc, i have the symptons but not the syndrome at the moment..... dudes, i only went to the doctors cos i had a sore back!!! Well i think i've gone on enough.

Hey Kelsbels

The problem a lot of women have getting a dx of pcos is immense. Because the symptoms manifest differently in most women sometimes its hard to give a definate dx. Things also change over time depending on your lifestyle. When i first got dx with PCOS i had the typical ring of cysts around my ovaries and had skinflaps but wasnt particularly hairy or overweight. Now however my ovaries are performing normally my skin tags have gone. Im pretty much symptom free but i dont think you ever fully get rid of PCOS.

I dont think it would hurt you to follow a low carb diet and have an excerice plan even if you dont have it IYKWIM. If i were you id act like you do have it now and whether you do or dont your health will still improve, you wont be doing any harm.

Its all pretty overwhelming to start with but the good thing about PCOS is that you can do something about it. Many people when they are dx with various complaints have no control over the outcome - we are at least lucky in this respect.

Keep your chin up, youve had a lot to digest in a short time!
