Hello Ladies!!

I'm not sure if this question has been answered already, but does Met help women who do not have IR? I took my Fasting Glucose and Glucose Intolerance test and they both came back normal (although I am convinced that I am insulin resistance). Has anyone taken Met (without having IR) and seen improvements with their symptoms? Do doctors even prescribe it if you don't have IR or Type II Diabetes? Thanks for reading!!! tia

Hi there!

My random glucose levels came back normal, but my doctor agreed to let me go back on Metformin. I am also convinced I have some IR, because I benefit from the Met. I don't see why it would help me if I didn't need it, KWIM? The only time I Ov'ed on Clomid was while I was on Metformin, and it helps to stabilize my BBT. I am also less thirsty all the time (I normally drink like a horse!) So IR or not, I find it has helped me. But that's my opinion

There seem to be conflicting studies on whether it is helpful or not, but in my experience it has been quite helpful.
