Question Confused...about NPC...can someone plz give me some advice.

Background: Tried new dr. and he gave me Progesterone shot, it brought on AF for 4 days. I don't know if I ovualted or not...I used OPK on last day of AF and it showed neg. I have not done temping...thermometer MIA.
Dr. thinks that the progesterone shot will start my body on to having natural periods...the last time I have a natural AF was when I was 16...(8 years ago)...none sense...all AF since then were by BCP...anyhow, I am afraid that I will not continue with this and wanted to try NPC...Dh and I are ttc...can someone plz help on when I should start it and how much...and when to stop...

Thank you to all who reply...it is a great help!
