It's not curable, but many women find treatments that make the symptoms deminish or disapear. Many women find that meds or diet can do this for them. There's no one thing that works for everyone. I had symtoms in a size 4. I did find a lot of relief low carbing. Sometimes when people's symptoms disappear they think they are cured.
thanks for ur reply i had my angels before i was diagnosed. i was wondering if having my tubes tied has anything to do with this. my mother and grandmother have both had some kind of problem after having there tubes tied in witch they didnt share till i had mine done i would like to get it reversed but insurance will not pay for it to be reversed the problems started four years ago feburary
Having your tubes tied will not cause PCOS. Many people experience worsening symptoms or a change in symptoms after childbirth. Also, PCOS seems to be progressive. The longer you have it and don't find a treatment for it the worse it gets. If you are wanting to have a reversal to treat PCOS, I don't think that it would an effective option. I wouldn't do it. I would only do it if you were wanting to have more children.
Though doctors and researchers aren't clear on the causes of PCOS, it does seem to be clear that you are born with it. Thus they suspect it is hereditary.
ok it wont cause the pcos but there was never any issues besides ovarian cysts before i had four pregnancys and four children whom are all two years appart i had my tubes tied after the last one four years ago and had extensive bleeding painfull periods periodic periods and all they said is lets check to see if your pregnant maybe the tubes tied didnt take or grew back then that was the end of that and now this but the doctor isnt concerned enough to fax the refferal to the doctor so i can see one due to insurance i need a refural to see gyn unless pregnant. so as for getting them untied i want that to have one more child and just to see what life brings me anyways thanks for all your help
