Default Confused about Periods

I keep reading about everyone NOT having their periods...
When i'm on birth control pills I get them exactly when I should. I'm on seasonelle, which is the one that gives you a period every 3 months instead of once a month. I get horrible PMS - to the point of walking out on three jobs because I was PMSing so bad and at times could get a violent temper. My doctor suggested that I may have PMDD which is a more severe form of PMS....
Anyways, if I don't take birth control pills my period never wants to stop...like I can have it for over a month not have it for two weeks then start again. I seem to be the opposite of everyone else?? also if I don't take birth control pills my acne get REALLY bad and I start getting more hair on my face...

since PCOS affects us all differently, it seems to go both ways...either you have a period once every 3 to 6 months or longer for some, or you're like others who have nonstop periods once they do have them. have you ever thought of switching bcps to something like Yaz? I've heard that it's supposed to really help with the PMDD symptoms.

I did go see a doctor about Yazz(Yasmine in Canada) once and she said it helps with mostly just the physical symptoms like water retention, and aches and pains...but not the mental problems that go with PMS. I get depressed and well pretty much phyco at times. It's like I'm a completely different person....
