Question Confused and Looking for Advice

Good Evening Ladies....

I am 30 years old and was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 14 years old. I bleed for 4 years straight. Not a day with out bleeding. It took me 3 years to find an endo and that was when he diagnosed me. All during the 3 years dr's told me that is was usual for a womn to bleed like I was doing and that I should not worry. They told me i had cancer, that I was having stroke and that was why I was bleeding so. The dr's put me on estrogen, every birth control you could think of and nothing worked. All I did was blow up and gain a lot of weight. Everything was looking down for me untIL I meet my endo. he diagnosed me with PCOS and told me what was happening to my body and that most likely when i want to get pregnant I am going to have to take medication. OK now that I 30 I want to have kids. I am wondering if I have waited to long and that i will never become pregnant.

My husband and I went to an infertility clinic a month ago and they put me on gonral and the i did the trigger and they did an iui on me wednesday. Tonight i start the progetrone suppositories.

I am also a diabetic and am on insulin have been for 16 years.

I guess me questions are did i wait to long before contact an infertility doctor?

Can someone help me understand what it is that i am going through?

Thanks for all your support and help....

First of all, the longest i have gone is 50 days, so i can not imagine 4 years straight of bleeding.

B... you are definately not alone... i think that's why sites like this one were created to show that we are not alone and help us get in contact with peoples that are in the same boat as us...

And finally, you waited until you felt you were ready to have a child to seek reproductive advice. Admirable that you weren't attempting before you were ready. i can't say it's going to be easy, no road with PCOS ever is, but in the end, it will be worth it.
