great! my husband has been running a fever of 101 - 103 for the last 3 days, and obviously i'm the one taking care of him. he's had a nasty cough as well. well, this morning i temped and my temp was 99.09 which is unheard of for me. even my highest post-O temp has never even hit 98, they're always in the high-97 range, and i only finished clomid 3 days ago. i have a nasty cough today and i'm assuming i am coming down with the virus dh has... right? i mean, i couldn't possibly have O'd this early?! i was tossing and turning all night and i woke up once about an hour before i temped and i felt blazing hot when i woke up so i'm chalking it up to sickness but i DID O once on cd 9 with soy though so i'm freaking out a bit. we haven't even bd at all! this is my second round of clomid and i'm feeling a bit desperate - any words of advice? TIA, sorry so long, i'm a rambler.

I wouldn't freak out quite yet. Do you normally get crampy pre-O and did you this time? One way to check is later on today take your temp again and see if you have a fever. I'm betting you are sick and that will screw up BBT.
Based on previous temps, that looks WAY to high of a jump to be O.

Elizabeth, if that is a temp rise from O you must have popped an egg the size of a football! What did your temp rise look like when you O'd this early on soy? I'm with Kari, I think your running a flu. If so, discard your temp or you'll never get above your coverline if you are to O in the next (less than) 6 days. I'm not sure if it's the same on Clomid, but usually being ill can delay your O for a few days. So don't stress if you O later this cycle than you did on your first Clomid cycle..

Annoying isn't it when something messes with your temps and you don't know where you are of what to make of it? I still think you're pre-O but it's hard to say. Fevers around O time are awful. I got the flu the day after O this past cycle and it really screwed me up. It took 5 or 6 days for my temp to lower because the flu didn't want to go away. So, I had no idea what was going on with my BBT and then I convinced myself that I would get a bfp because my immune system was distracted by the flu, and therefore wouldn't attack my fertilized egg that wanted to implant. Yeah, I over-analyze things and make myself crazy.
If I could give you some advice, it would be to stop taking your temperature because if you have caught something and have a fever, you'll have no way to make sense of your temps. For example, before my flu and O, my regular temp was always 97.4 - 97.6 but it was still around 98.5 the day I got my period...and this was 12 days after I began with my flu-like symptoms. So, taking my temp when I was sick and getting over sickness accomplished nothing but getting my hopes up for a bfp. I should have just put the thermometer away and put the whole 2ww thing out of my mind....obviously easier said than done!

daisy - i know, don't you hate it? i can't bring myself to stop charting but i too am an over-analyzer and this cycle is a great one for it lol.

july - i think so! i've had post-O temps for the last 2 days, i'm hoping for CH tomorrow... i had a slow rise last cycle too so fingers crossed!
meanwhile, look at you!! your chart looks fantastic! i'm excited for you!! are you gonna wait for 14 dpo to test?

Thanks! Well, 14 DPO normally is a sign on it's own already (temp usually drops), so I'm thinking I'll test at 12 or 13 DPO because that's more 'fun'. If you O'd on CD 16 I think FF will give you CD today if you enter a temp that's 97.6 or higher. Keeping fingers crossed for those CH I'm sure you long for!
