i have a couple of questions for you.

from your sig :"Tried Clomid/Met/Dexamethasone/IUI... unsuccessfully"

1. did you take Clomid/Met/Dexamethasone together?

2. if so, did you ovulate?

3. how many cycle of this combo did you do?

4. did you ovulate before this combo?

5. if so, which other combo?

6. i read an article that said dex can further aggravate insulin resistance, did you feel that your pcos symptoms were worse while you were on dex?

started glucophage xr 12/18/02
taking 1500 mg as of 12/20/02
5/13/03 actos 15 mg & met 500 mg
5/17 increased met to 1000 mg
6/6 increased met to 1500 mg
6/12 increased actos to 30 mg
7/11 reduced actos to 15 mg due to swelling
reduced met to 1000 mg due to severe diarrhea

rx meds: met & actos

9/5/03 i ovulated for the 2nd time in my life. wow!!!
new cycle 9/21
nettle infusion, almond, brewer's yeast, flax seed, standardized black cohosh

Hi Peppermint tea

1. did you take Clomid/Met/Dexamethasone together? Yes

2. if so, did you ovulate?Every month, on CD 13

3. how many cycle of this combo did you do? 4 in total because the first month I was on Femara. I did ovulate on that cycle on CD 17. The 3 following one were on Clomid.

4. did you ovulate before this combo? Never

5. if so, which other combo? This month, I did ovulate with my little natural combo. (SP, Vitex, DQ, Red Raspberry leaf, Bee pollen and Fo-ti)

6. I am thin and I did not have insulin resistance that's why my RE gave me dexamethasone in the first place. He thought I had 17-alpha-progesterone deficiency wich happend not to be the case but he wanted to give it a try because the DHEA comes partially by the adrenal glands and the dex suppresses it. It did lower my DHEA for 1 month but after it came right back up. He still wanted me to continue it so I did.

thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. i will be taking gluc xr and clomid next and will ask my re if adding dex will help me ovulate. i never tested ir either, but my re said that if you have pcos you are somewhat ir even if it doesn't show up on tests.
