Default Is it connected?

I hadn't known pcos caused anything other than hair, skin tags, and infertility. Today I've found a whole new world. Since I only have one of the above three, I worried perhaps I was under/mis diagnosed, and then I spent time thinking about my battle with anxiety for over the past decade. I wonder, if this could all be attributed to pcos? Or perhaps if it's a bit of other factors at play also? Can anyone shed any light on when pcos begins to show symptoms of anxiety / depression in patients? Is it possible that pcos caused this in me, not another chemical imbalance?

There are several 'sticky' links at the top of the depression forum that might address your questions.

It's not unusual for pcos and depression to go hand in hand...for many women, it's related to elevated testosterone.

You're welcome! If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. But those stickies will provide some clear answers to your questions, and can be helpful to even print out for your doctor.
