Oh and one more thing....a trick that I learned!

If you feel a blemish arising...one thing that you can do to help reduce the reddness and swelling is use a Vitamin E capsule! Thats right just poke a hole in it and get the oil out of the capsule and apply it directly to the blemish. Do this before going to bed and the swelling and reddness will go down! Works like a charm for me every time!

I've been using it for about a week now and I love it! The first two days I was unsure because it seemed to make my forehead extra greasy, but that has passed. No redness, zits are clearing up, my skin feels AWESOME-- not oily like it used to, just beautiful and clean.

I have an issues hopefully you ladies can offer some advice. I have been using proactiv for about a year now. It worked amazingly- I would get really bad pimples around my chin esp when I was going to get my period. Using proactiv it cleared my face up completely. Now all of a sudden my forehead is just clustered with tiny, tiny pimples everywhere. Its not terribly noticeable, only if you really look at it. I never had any issues with pimples on my forehead. I'm not sure why this is happening. I havent been doing anything different (food, meds, products)... Any suggestions? Id really appreciate it!

I've used Proactiv for about three months and I've really seen great improvement. I also switched to SheerCover mineral makeup at the same time. My results could be a combination of the two.

Proactive did not work for me. I tried the off brand at Walmart no luck with that either. I ended up going to dermatologist and was prescribed Doxycycline, Sodium sulfacetaide face wash, Tretinion cream, and Duac gel. Worked great!! The dermatologist said her best friend had PCOS and this was her treatment. Only problem is now we are TTC and you can't do these treatment if trying to become pregnant.

I used proactive for about 1-2 years and my acne disappeared completely. Now I just use a simple cleanser to keep my face fresh and clean. I saw results almost immediately. It's definitely worth the try. I still keep proactive stocked in my bathroom and use it ocassionally for those minor breakouts. I swear by the face mask, its a great spot treatment.

I didn't read all the posts but I thought I'd put my two cents in. I've been using Proavtic for about 6 or 7 years. I had problems with zits & red blotches on my face & it cleared that up & has stayed gone. I still have a few pimples every now & then but I think it's usually from stress or pms. It is expensive but I only use it once a day (at night) to make it last longer. One bottle lasts me several months. Also it does dry my skin a little so I use a normal cleanser in the morning so there won't be any chance of any flaking or anything during the day. It also works on the back if anyone has that problem. I tried the whole body cleanser once but didn't like it. So I use a little of the facial cleanser on my upper back in the shower every now & then to keep it smooth. By the way I still haven't tried their makeup...but i have tried mineral makeups & i like them, very light & minimal.

I'm no doctor or anything but my sister said she had to stop using it when she was pregnant & she's using it again now after her son's birth. So I would just check with your doctor.

Don't get it on your clothes!!! I have a lot of bleached collars from pulling shirts over my head with that stuff on my face. Did it work for me? It was ok. I get better results from the salicylic acid formulations.

I've been using proactive for over 6 years and I really like it. My sister-in-law told me about it and it really works for her too. I did find that the toner dried my skin out a lot...so I buy the first step(cleasing lotion I think its called) by itself and ended up getting a prescription lotion clydoxyl and I use that for the last step. The clydoxyl has the same ingredients as the last step but the medical ingredient is twice as strong...I just found I needed something a little stronger....

It's not working for me anymore. Oil and redness came back.

LOVE LOVE LOVE my PROACTIVE! I seem to get the best price on QVC. I have extra oily skin, of course, and it seemed to dry up alot of the oil, but not dry out my skin.

From personal experience used to proativ for about mmm 4-6 months, I don't recall.
It didn't do much at all...it got worse, then calmed and that was it; I never saw any real results. So i stopped...right now I'm using Differin and Benzaclyn (sp) and they're working alright I still have quite a few scars but it has been working quite well so far.
