Angry Constant Itching?

Does anyone else have this, or know what it is?

I have this awful itching in my groin--right where the elastic of my panties hit my inner thigh. It itches so bad and sometimes I have scratched it so much it's raw.

I don't know if it's PCOS-related or if it's there just because I have gained so much weight and the folds of my skin don't get enough air, or if it's a fungus or what!

Maybe you have suddenly become allergitic to elastic. I hope you wear cotton panties. Try using the ones that do not have elastic on the edge. If the itching continue I suggest ask your nurse.

Buy new undies.

If they are too tight it will cause irritation.
I can't ware rayon for some reason. I get chapped real bad and itch.

I also developed a reation to adhisive. so anything in close contact for long periods are a problem.

Hang in there,
Patty

Yes, it most definitely can be fungus. If you have folds in your skin and the area doesn't dry good enough, fungus can start growing. You may need to get some medicine from the doctor to kill the fungus.

God Bless,

Lightbulb Waxing

I have the same itching problem. I started getting a bikini wax this summer every 6 weeks and it is gone. When I shave it gets really bad.

Hope this helps...

You know, my mom mentioned that it might be the female version of jock itch. It tried some of the spray that men use for jock itch and it helped some. But it burned like heck! Yeah, I'm going to ask my doctor about it. Thanks!

the best way to clear up jock itch is to mix the jock itch cream with cortizone (sp?) cream. Your dr. should be able to give you a prescription for a stronger cortizone cream than what's avail over the counter.

I am having that same problem at the moment. I bought some Lamisil (sp?) cream and plan on trying it tonight. I used it about ten years ago on my foot when you could only get it with a perscription and it cleared up the rash I had within a few days. I had tried quite a few other creams before the doctor perscribed it. It was my life saver then and I am hoping it will work the same way now.
