Hi,

Just recently started on met again. This time the Doctor prescribed 1500 mg (750mg pills). This is a new dose. I used to take the 500 mg dose.

Has anyone expereienced constipation?

I have! I called the doctor and she said to drink more water. Make sure you are drinking 8-10 8oz glasses of water a day!

Hope this gets better for you! It did me! I am also on 1500mg a day!

I'm in the same boat too...yesterday it got really bad but i think water helps...esp if u get up in the morning and have 2 glasses of warm water with a squeeze of lemon...and u have to drink a lot fo water throughout the day....mine nears a gallon on most days and 1.5 on the really terrible one...i'm so thirsty sometimes...

I've had that problem since I was 9 and drink 8-10 glasses of water, lots of raw fruits and veggies, and also invest in some Metamucil caplets, about 3-6 daily...i've been doing that for 14 years and it works great!
