I am not a doctor!
However. If you consult with yours you may find that he/she is happy to let you skip a few periods. I like doing this for many reasons - convenience for sure, more even moods, and just plain keeping my body in a consistent state, for hair reasons, for tummy reasons (I have IBS) - it feels better. I don't usually skip two in a row, but I would do it if needed.
Definitely talk to your doctor, but I'm a fan of not necessarily forcing yourself to bleed every fourth week. It's not a real period anyway!

Tried Ortho-Tri, terrible terrible. Mircette saved my life. Then tried Yasmin which was OK but had some side effects.
Now I'm back on Kariva (generic Mircette) with a low dose of Spiro. Ten bucks a month and I'm in a deliciously good mood.
I took that quiz and I'm Curry Flavored, how cool is that? |
