Default Is Continuous Use of BCP okay?

I was diagnosed with PCOS a few months ago, and have only begun to notice some weight loss with regular use of Glucophage XR, Aldactone, Synthroid, and the bcp, Desogen. Does anyone know if taking the bcp without a break can help the estrogen dominance associated with this disorder? I've noticed minimal spotting but fewer mood swings than when I allow myself a "normal" period to bleed. Does anyone else continually take the bcp without problem? Getting pregnant is not one of my goals right now...only reversing the weight gain and hirsutism associated with this annoying (to put it mildly) disorder. Incidentally, linking proteins with minimal carbs as opposed to simply cutting out all carbs seems to precipitate weight loss a bit more easily. Any other suggestions from Cysters who've put weight gain, mood swings, and excess hair behind them?
