I called my doctor today, as AF has yet to make a visit. I'm over a month late and no prego for me. (blood test confirmed 3.5 weeks ago.)
Talking to the nurse went something like this:
Me: "Yeah, I just need a script called in for Provera so we can get back on schedule with the Chlomid."
Nurse: "Well you know he's probably going to want a blood test more recent than the last one."
Me: "Okay... but because of all the cramping I've had, we haven't had sex since that last test. So unless this is a religious event, as in the Second Coming, there's no baby. I'm not doubting the first Emaculate Conception, but I don't think I'm in line for it to happen the second time around."
Whooping laughter followed by, "We love you Katrina! You have such a sense of humor!"
to which I replied...
"I love you guys too. Love you so much I wish you weren't someone I see more than my family. "
...More laughter. Followed by the OK for the script to get called in to the pharmacy.
I swear, the nurses at my doctor's office are like secondary sisters. Distant Aunts, cousins, or some type of relative. They 'get' me, and they're wonderful. Still, I envy women who only go to their OB/Gyn for a yearly checkup rather than almost every MONTH! ha ha ha
Anyway, thought that was funny - wanted to pass it along!
