Hi,
How do you know if the dosage of met is correct? I have been on 1000mg since October. I was dx with diabetes & IR in July, but with PCOS in 2003. My DH and I will be ttc this fall, so should I try to up the dosage sometime before then? I am currently taking BCP to regulate AF. Opinions please. Thanks.

I started out on 1000 mg and my doc just upped it to 1500mg because AF hasnt arrived (since dec 28 when i stopped taking BCP ), she also told me that if i havent seen anything by mid march to up it again to 2000 mg and she precribed provera to bring on AF in march if needed, but im not sure about how it will work if your going to remain on BCP i would think they would have to do blood work and then decide , Good luck

If you are taking Met for diabetes, I'd be cautious about changing the dosage without a discussion with the doctor who is treating the diabetes. Just something to think about.
