Question Correct me if I'm wrong - if Met is working for you, and getting everything....

If the met is working with your body, and regulating everything the way it should, then you should get AF on your own, w/o the use of Provera or BC pills? Did met help to regulate your AF? What if I haven't gotten AF yet? Do you think I ever will w/o provera?
TIA

I think Met works differently for each person. I am only on 750mgs a day. It lowered my testosterone levels, but not enough. So, I was put on Spiro. Because my testosterone levels are still high, I'm not getting my AF unless I take Provera.

I only started Sprio a month ago-- and still no AF. I have a feeling that my dose of Met needs increased. We'll see what the endo says in August.

Good luck to you!

Unhappy Met XR vs Met

Has anyone heard of the met xr not working as well as the regular met? I have been on met xr for 3 months and have seen no changes in weight, mood, hair, etc. I heard that if u take the the met that is not extended release u will see faster results with everything.

Ok met did help with getting my insulin levels down. That is what it was suppost to do. however I did not get AF with the use of met. Probably because my testosterone was still high. The dr told me I needed BCP's to help lower that. Which they did work.
