I used puregon injectibles...(pure fsh) basically it turned out to be about $10.00 a unit. I used anywhere from 50-100units per day. So basically i spent $100.oo per day...i used them at least 2 weeks, plus the hcg trigger which was about $60.00. The injection pen and kit was free and supplied by the fertility clinic...i've done this process three times and got pregnant...luckilly on the first cycle each time...otherwise i wouldnt have been able to afford to go any further.
I know its an awful lot of cash to put out at once but its the only thing that ever worked for me...good luck!

Since you are in Toronto I would recommend that you make the trip to Wexford pharmacy in Brampton. They can also courier you your meds for a small fee. They have the best prices for infertility meds on this side of the border(that I know of anyways) Check out their site for a price list.
I used gonal-f and I was lucky my insurance paid for them. My Dr gave me a 2 week supply and it was only $25.00. It was very each to give it to myself, at first I made my husband give it to me everynight at the same time, then I decided to try it and it didnt hurt at all. I usually gave it to myself in the leg but tried my stomach and didnt like the pain...

I just had a visit to the York Region Fertility Clinic and was told the costs are approximately $1,500 / month. I was prepared for the expense, and prepared for the extensive follow up ultrasounds, blood tests, etc. But the doctor did not seem overly positive in my case, and he turned me right off. In fact, I walked out of his office without getting the meds list or doing the follow up with his nurse. He seemed more inclined to talk about weight loss than anything else, I lost count of the number of times he said the words "join Curves". I was *this close* to reaching over his desk and smacking him on his smug arrogant nose. I mean, I know I'm overweight, but C'mon! Not THAT overweight!
For anyone in the York Region area, FYI, Dr. Watt does not have the best people person skills....
Sorry to vent on your thread....forgive me

Daisychain,
Sorry to hear about your poor experience with the clinic.
There are many RE's in Toronto & GTA that would be more than willing to help you. Although I don't have anything nice to say about either clinics that I have gone to I'm sure there are many cysters here that would recommend a local clinic for you.
Good Luck.
