Default Cost of IUI in BC?

My gyno says that if I'm not pregnant within a few more months, the next step is IUI. I can't seem to find a definitive answer on how much it costs with the fertility drugs. Anyone know?

Medications Used for In-Vitro Fertilization and Superovulation
The cost of the medications depends on a variety of factors, including the type of protocol chosen, your age, previous response to medications and your hormone results. The average cost is between $1250 and $3500. The BC Pharmacare program does not cover these costs, however there are some extended health care plans which may. You should check with your own health care plan before proceeding.
The medications used fall into 3 groups.
For ovarian suppression. These drugs put the ovaries to sleep and allow us to manipulate the growth of the follicles using medications.
They include:
Synarel
Suprefact
Lupron
These are given either by subcutaneous injection or by nasal spray.

For ovarian stimulation
These include:
Puregon
Gonal F
Pergonal
Repronex

For egg maturation and then support of the endometrium
These include:
Profasi
Pregnyl
Prometrium
Estradot patch
Estrace

Other medications which may be used during an IVF cycle include:
Antibiotics Doxycycline
Steroids Medrol
Aspirin Baby aspirin (81mg)
Vitamins C, E, Folic acid

Default IUI cost

I am in the process of going through superovulation which includes IUI. Previously I did three rounds of Clomid which failed to make me ovulate. At PCRM in Burnaby my costs have been $200 for an injection clinic, $580 for Bravelle and injection materials (this price varies, depending on what they put you on. I was told it could be as high as $1000). My final cost for IUI and monitoring is $375. It seemed pretty reasonable to me. The biggest cost for us so far has been the time (from work) we have to be down there for 4-8 days during ovulation, and the fact that we have to go to Vancouver for it. (we live in North central BC). I hope this helps, and good luck!!
