Default Costs?

Okay...I'm in the category of 'preparing' to ttc....(losing weight, getting the blood work and cycles sorted, temping, etc...). My gyno has mentioned using clomid as a first resort, and I know there are other options (femara, and injectables) for down the track.

can y'all give me an idea of how much it costs you for various prescriptions, per cycle?

Thanks loads!

The only one I know for sure is Clomid, and it is on the generic Rx list for Walmart. You can get seven days worth for $9 at the Walmart Pharmacy. This is what I did for mine.

You can't get Clomid that cheap at every Walmart, some states don't allow it. WI is one of them. It's not that horribly expensive though. I think I paid about $80 for a 200mg cycle. Femara is a little pricier but not bad, for a 5mg cycle was about $140. I also take Estrace and Prometrium and those cost about $25 per cycle.
I haven't used injectibles, so I really don't know about those. It really depends a lot on what dose you're on and how long you have to stim. Does your insurance cover any fertility drugs? Tha can make a big difference.

I have just started Clomid myself and at Target here in NY it was 5$ generic RX. Good luck.
