Default Could 3.4 TSH be cause for a poor gonal-f cycle?

I'm sort of bummed out as I had the worst ever treatment cycle (an LH surge when follies were only 13mm... ) and today I called my thyroid doc for lab results from last month which I never got. Apparently, they's sent them in the mail and they must have been lost. My TSH is 3.4 and the doc sent a new prescription for a slight increase from 100 to 112 of synthroid. I have noticed that I am sleepy lately too. Do you think that this TSH level is enough to have messed up this past gonal-f cycle? When I increase meds, how long do you think it will take for things to improve? Thanks.

It's really hard to say, Louie. I don't think that TSH would normally be a huge concern for TTC, but as you know, a lot of docs think that something between 1 and 2 is ideal for TTC. It might affect a natural O in someone who is sensitive to thyroid swing, but who knows if that's high enough to actually throw off a medicated cycle.

I hope that it WAS the reason for you, and it will be a simple fix! It should take 2-4 weeks after raising your dose to notice a difference in the way you feel, and 4-6 weeks for the change to show up in your bloodwork.

Hang in there!
