It happened to me. The first time I took cinnamon (before I was on hyponidd). I had a reading of 150, then around 170 shortly thereafter. WAY higher than I'd ever had. It was the only time I was in diabetic range. Seriously flipped me out. Now that I have hypoglycemia instead of pre-diabetes though, cinnamon actually drives my blood sugar down.
It's probably the cinnamon. I'd stop it & just keep an eye on things. You could always try it again later on. You 'may' not get the same reaction.
