Question Could this have been one......TMI

I am not sure if I had a miscarriage or not. I never got a diagnosis of pregnancy. Here's my story........
I was late on my AF. I did have unprotected sex once. I went to the doctor and it came back negative. He them put me on provera. I took it and I only spotted but was told to start my BCP on the first day of my cycle. I thought the spotting was the beginning of AF. Midway through taking my pack I had starting bleeding very heavy and cramping. I also had what appeared to be lots of pinkish tissue. Didn't look normal to me. I kept bleeding for 2 weeks. Also before all of this I was tired and my breasts hurt to no end. Now all of a sudden it has dissappeared. So now I am left to wonder what happened. I have gotten an negative blood test before too. I am not sure if it is too late for one now. Also I had unprotected sex while taking provera. Could I have gotten pregnant then rather than before. Just wondering and concerned. Thanks in advance.

I would talk to your doctor. It may not be too late to get a beta hCG. If nothing else, maybe just describing to him/her what happened will help you get some info. I've never taken Provera, so I don't know the effects, or how long it takes for AF to start. Good luck with everything.

Unfortunately your post saddens me to no end!!!!!!

I had a similar situation happen, however, I took a pregnancy test that test around 25m, and it was a faint faint positive. Went to my doctor, they did their little office urine test, that test for like 150m, and it showed negative.

He said my cycle just wasn't normal yet, after having a previous miscarriage, so he gave me an inj of Pro. and another script, and told me it should get my cycle jump started. This was on Wed. By Friday, i was spotting lightly, but not period like, so on the advice of the ladies' on this board, I went to another physician. and sure enough I WAS pregnant, needless to say, I spotted off and on like that, and ultimately m/c. and I still to this day don't know if it was because of my shotty doctor giving me that injection, or if it was going to happen in the natural course of things.

But at least I did listen to the women on here, and got another opinion.

Smile Thank you!

Thank you so much for your replies. I know that I was pregnant. In fact I just told my husband. He was very saddened. This happened a long time ago when we were first married. I really should have ordered a blood test. Demanded it in fact. I always trust the doctors too much. I know that this was completely different than that of a period. I am so certain that I would bet my life on it. I have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow. I am going to see if it is too late for a beta. I think it is. How long does it take? I am not sure if it is. I think I am still very hormonal. I feel overwhelmed all the time and frustrated and I snap at everyone. Hope it all goes away soon. Thanks again.
