I'm a newbie (I'm 16) and was diagnosed with PCOS on the 11th of this May. I have started taking Met. I was wondering if maybe I could have Cushings disease since some of the symptoms are similar.
I am overweight but I don't exactly tend to gain it around my stomach. I normally gain weight equally, although I do have a 'gut'. I have a lump of fat on my neck and upper back (buffalo hump). I have stretch marks on my breats, arms, legs, thighs, stomach, pretty much everywhere. I have ance and I might have slight hair loss on my scalp, I have very britle hair also. I also have some darkening areas of skin on the back of my neck and a couple other places. I have increased urination (I go to the bathroom probably ever two to three hours) and extreme fatigue. I sleep about 10-12 hours a night and I usually will take a 2-3 hour nap, usually only a couple hours after waking up.
My mom doesn't think it's really anything to think about but she is going to talk to my Endo on Monday and ask her what she thinks. But for now I wanted your guys' opinion.
I was also wondering what I would do to get tested for this?
welcome to sc have you asked your dr about cushings?? i had more tests done after my pcos was diagnosed, and have locah as well. hope you get some answers soon

What happenede with your diagnosis, my little heart?
I am now also testing for Cushing's since I have some suspicious sysptoms, like fatty bump on the back of my neck, but mostly a lot of fatigue, and I do need at least 10 hours for a good night's sleep. We'll see, they are going to see my cortisol and 17-proxyprogesterone.
Could I have Cushing's?
