Default Could I have Hypothyroid?

Hi Everyone,

So My BBT's usually before Ovulation are in the 96 range like 96.5 and above and after they are in the 97 range with an oral therm.

I also check my temps during the day and they are usually in the 98.

I recently got a TSH test done and it was 2.7. I don't have any symptons of hypothyroid...I actually feel great, I usually get 5 hours of sleep and am up and running and I don't have falling hair, dry skin, anything like that at all.

But I was wondering if I could still have it based on the bbt's? My doc didn't think my bbt's were a big deal, she said it could be because of low progesterone since I have a LPD.

Also, I heard that taking your temp vaginally gives higher results than orally?

Thanks everyone!

You really can't tell by TSH alone. You need Free T4, Free T3, TPO Ab and TG Ab tested to get the full picture. Do you have any history of thyroid disease in your family?

I've also heard that adrenal fatigue can cause low BBT.

Good luck!

I think mine must have been a little low for awhile. I've been taking iron for anemia and have seen improvement with that. Now I'm dealing with my thyroid. Ugh I'm actually looking forward to the doc apt on Jan 6. I've got a lot of questions. This board has been helpful so far.
