Cramping/AF in middle of Yasmin -continue pack or stop?
Hi, im sorry i havent searched the threads for an answer but im in pain and need a quick answer im sure my cysters will understand ..
Im 13 days into my pack of yasmin which ive been on since october, 2 days ago i started spotting which is ok, its happened before..but this morn i started strong cramping and some red af..my question is should i call it quits for this cycle of bcp's, let myself have af ir should i continue with the rest of the pack?

I would continue the active pills for a few days and see what happens. If the bleeding continues or gets worse, you can stop the pack. Usually if you stop the active pills for a few days and start again, things will get under control. If you call your doctor, they might tell you to double up on the dosage of active pills for a day or two, but I wouldn't recommend that without talking to the doctor.
I almost always have cramping in the middle of the pack. I dunno I'd continue to take it, I've heard stopping a pack mid-pack can do WAY more damage than good. hope you feel better soon

wow, i had no idea stopping could be a problem! I practically have AF now and i wud have thought taking more wud be messing with my body and I didnt take any yesterday but ill take one now. Thanks for the advice girls

UPDATE: ok i have bad cramps and heavy AF now,I took todays bcp but am having regrets now.. isnt continuing bcp just gonna mess me up more? my body is obv trying to shed the endometrium and im playing yo-yo with it!
Im sorry i should have clarified from the start..Im on cd20 or 21 and on my 14th pill of the cycle...Do you still think i should continue? Sorry for being a pain in the butt!

honestly, yes I think you should still take it until a doc tells you to bail on the pack. Is there a hotline in your area where you can call the nurse or doctor on duty. I'd do that asap. If it was me and i'd continue the pills until they told me not too. if you just can't stand it i guess you could stop, but at least try the hotline and see what they say, k? hope you feel better soon.

I've read that if you continue active pills once you have full blown bleeding, you probably won't stop bleeding until you stop the active pills. I don't think stopping will hurt. You'll just have to have a backup birth control method for awhile. If you are unsure what to do, seems like you could just call your doctor's office. Most doctors are good about having the nurse call you back with advice.
