I had a ton of cramping with Elisa all the way up to 16 weeks, and quite a bit of bleeding too-- even clots! I know now that the bleeding was not normal, it was a threatened m/c because Elisa has chromosomal abnormalities and also I had a subchorionic hemmorhage. But the cramping did not accompany the spotting, they happened separately, which reassured the Dr's that it did not mean I was m/c. Cramps by themselves (without heavy bleeding at the same time) usually just mean that the uterus is growing and stretching to accomodate the baby.
Good luck with the pg!
