Hi Vanessa - yeah i used to get cramping nausea etc but no period sometimes, can be if i'm really stressed or not exercising properly and y hormones go a bit crazy. i'd say dont worry for now, if u dont get a period next month then maybe talk to ur doctor - have u tried evening primrose oil? that often helps with cramping etc - ive just started taking it more regularly and i'm hoping it will help. could u be pregnant?
hope to help

Its called evening primrose oil - you can get it from a health shop - i take one1300mg tablet with vitamin E twice a day. you can take it in a soft gel, oil or capsule form - i am taking the capsules. i'm in the UK though not sure about tenessee sorry! here's a link - i put it into google and found this: http://www.wholehealthmd.com/refshel...25,779,00.html
maybe worth a try - but you could also look in the alternative remedies forum on this site - vitex is a herb that you might want to look into taking - it has helped lots of women get their periods as it is a kind of hormone regulator. are u on any other meds?

Before I was put on Avandamet, I used to cramp like I was on my period, but no period. My gyno said that you can still ovulate without having a period, and that may be what it was. I would still check it out though. Not having a period for a long time is not healthy - when the lining of the endometrium doesn't shed, it builds up and you are at a higher risk for endometrial cancer - that's what my gyno told me. Ever since I've been on Avandamet, my cycles have been normal though. Good luck to you.

I am with you. I get bad pains but no bleeding all the time. I haven't had a period since july and it's now january. The doctor wants to put me back on bcp but I don't want to cause it gets me started but then it don't want to stop. Is there something in particular that anybody is on to help them have a period without it getting outta control?
Before I was on Avandamet, my old doctor gave me Provera. You take it for 10 days I think, and then you have a period. It worked good for me, but my new gyno gave me a prescription for Prometrium and he said that if I don't get my period 2 weeks after I'm expected to, take it. So far I haven't had to get it filled. I have always had irregular periods, and before we had insurance, I went almost a year without having one. But now since I take Avandamet, my cycles are like clockwork - it's unbelievable. Good luck.
