Unhappy cramping and still bleeding after D&C....

I just have a question for those of you who had a D&C. I had 2 D&C's prior to this one a few years ago and I never bled afterwards but I do remember having some cramping. I am still passing clots after 4 days and still having cramps and pains in my ovaries. I would just find it easier to deal with this if the bleeding and cramps would stop =(

I am so sorry your going through this. It's not easy. I am so for your loss.

I can remember having cramps for a few days but the bleeding with my MC D&C stopped pretty much right away. I had one episode where a bleed VERY heavy with clots that's when I was lossing the baby. Then within a few hours it stopped.
I never bleed again until after my D&C and that too was for only a few hours.

Then I had a D&C because my AF wouldn't leave. So they thought it was best to "clean" everything out. Again I had cramps for a few days and the bleeding started to slowly stop over the following week or so.

If you feel really uncomfortable or have any questions don't hesitate to call your doctor.

I am thinking of you and wishing you a speedy recovery.

Michele

I'm so sorry for your loss {{{{HUGS}}}}

Unfortunately, I don't have a positive story for you... I bled/spotted after my D&C for 3-4 weeks. My extensive bleeding/spotting could have been b/c I was carrying quads so I had even more "trauma" to my body.

You should be going in for a follow-up appt w/ your dr. When you do, talk to him/her about it. I'm sure they will tell you it's fine.

I know it's hard b/c you just want to "get past" it and try to heal

Thanks for the replies. I have my follow-up appointment in 6 weeks but I will call him if it doesn't slow down soon. It seems to slow down then it starts up again. Makes me wonder if they missed some of it.

Michele-I had a D&C for a never ending AF 3 years ago as well. I was bleeding heavily for 6 weeks and ended up being severely anemic and ill.

I'm sorry for your losses as well. I know it gets easier because I've been through this 4 years ago. I'm just angry that it took this long to conceive again and then have it end so suddenly when my numbers were doing so well. We saw the sac and yolk sac last thursday and they told me everything looked fine then the bad cramping started right after and went on till saturday when I had the D&C. I want to try again soon, but scared to death at the same time.
