Default Cramping while taking Provera

Dumb question time! I'm on day 5 of a 10 cycle of provera. I'm cramping like crazy. It's been on and off since AF disappeared in June, but the last 24 hours have almost been non-stop. Honestly, it feels like I should have AF now. Did anyone else experience this? The cramping isn't bad enough that I need to call my doctor, just uncomfortable. I'm starting to get excited that AF might show her ugly face finally. I'm also having other pms symptoms. I've been excusted today and my boobs hurt...all of which have started in the last 24-48 hours.

Yes, I felt like AF could show at any time when on Provera. I never have cramping but my BB's hurt, I get emotional, exhausted, etc.

Over the last two days I've noticed that I am emotional and exchausted too. Is this a good sign that AF is going to come? I know that I'm pms'ing, just unsure if I am because af is coming or if the pills are making me have the se.

Hi Saniya

I had crazy cramping when I was taking Provera. I also felt a little emotional. I finished my ten days of taking Provera, and 6 days later my period came. It's quite painful (but my periods have always been like that) and somewhat heavy. But I'm so thankful to God that it's working.

You should drink warm liquids, it helps with the pain. =)

Hi Dahliya!

AF over the last year has been quite painful since I went off bcp, so I've gotten used to that. That is the only thing that makes me miss my bcp! I know what you mean about being grateful to at least get af. I was getting it every month until June. AF just disappeared. I'm sure this will be heavy just because it's been two months. At this point, I'll just be happy to have it back.

Ok, so I know I said before that I never had cramping but I am 5 days into my Provera and I feel like I have AF cramps constantly. Not horrible but definately there.

I had cramps like crazy while on Provera. Actually, I had a lot of AF symptoms during my ten days on it. I had cramps, sore boobs, breakout, etc. I went from March until July without a period, and I didn't get it again until three days after my ten day Provera round.

I'm having major PMS symptoms right now. My poor dh!! I am really moody, even more so than usual. I said something to him this weekend and the minute it left my mouth I couldn't believe I worded it that way. I apologized immediately before he could even comment on it. Thankfully, he is being so understanding right now. Today is my last day taking provera, hopefully AF will show up soon.

Oh lord, me too. I AM SO moody. Last night I spent a few minutes kicking our kitchen cupboard door b/c I was upset that there was no more milk. UGH I hate what these hormones do to me!

I almost cried while in Walmart because I thought (due to a misunderstanding on my part and the insurance company not explaining things to me) that I couldn't afford to get new eye glasses (I'm wearing the same pair I got in 2003!). When I got home I cried...over eye glasses!!! Then I was bummed out the rest of the afternoon. Only to find out at dinner time that what I thought was my coverage is. Walmart Vision Centers aren't in the network. I hate being hormonal!

I understand that! I'm so happy yesterday was my last day of provera!! Now I'm crossing my fingers that AF gets here and starts visiting again on her own. I really don't want to deal with the side effects again!! I will if I have to of course, I just won't wanna!! hehe
