I want deli meat.... NOT warmed so bad...
I want a roast beef and cheese sandwich or turkey or bologna



OMG this is driving me nuts.. Any ideas

Go get a sandwich. I asked my RE about this when I first got pregnant. He said that most all lunch meat is fine, but if I was concerned, nuke it for 20 seconds on high and then put it back in the frig to cool back down before I eat it. (I also don't like warm lunchmeat).

I have just eaten lunchmeat from the package and I have been fine. I don't think that I would trust deli's out (like Subway) to have properly stored their meat, but I think if you make your own, you are fine, just get the freshest possible.

I would go get a sandwich. There are so many different opinions out there on the whole deli meats subject. My OB says they are ok to eat and I have eaten them throughout all three of my pregnancies with no issues (knock on wood). I think it is pretty much your call on weather or not you feel comfortable eating them.

I agree with the other posters - go get a sandwich! My OB never advised against eating deli meat and I've done it during both my PGies. I just don't think the risk is too great.

Ladies I think I am going to... I am later in my preg everything is ok... and maybe it will not be the only thought on my mind..... after 3 weeks of this I am going NUTS food network had a Deli special I thought I was going to pass out I want it all SOOOOOO bad

Def go get urself a sandwich. I lived off of chipped ham sandwiches during my pregnancy. And I had to quit one of my jobs but kept my job at Subway until I was 8 months and I ate a sandwich form there everytime I worked which was 5 days a week. I think you will be just fine....Enjoy that sandwich!!!!!!

I finally broke down this week too...I had been wanting a ham sandwich SOOOOO bad. Ive had 2 in the past couple of days. I just bought fresh meat, and hopefully everything will be fine! So far so good

I ate lunch meat while pregnant. I stopped for a while because one of the girls in my due date thread did get sick from it (lysteria) and ended up having to deliver her baby too early. But I spoke to my dr about it and she calmed my fears. I guess the pre-packaged stuff is actually safer because it has all the preservatives to have a longer shelf life than the stuff sliced fresh at the deli. But I wanted fresh, so I would have them slice it fresh for me and then eat it that day or the following day.

How about... eating it?! I eat lunch meat several times a week and I don't heat it, don't like it that way.

OMG so I go and by a 1/4lb of roast beef and my husband flipps out.. Giving me guilt. "We have had 5 losses and you are willing to risk it over silly deli meat", " You are being selfish" I cried and left him the god danm meat..

Eat the sandwich, just do it alone, then you don't have to have the guilt. It will probably only take one sandwich and you will have your fix

My ob just said not to eat the meat that could stick to the wall if you threw it... Early on I heated it and then ate it, now I just eat the dad gum meat!
