Crosspost: Anyone do IVF, then have an IC loss, then success?
After finally feeling good about my IVF pregnancy (enduring OHSS, the loss of a twin, getting through those 12 weeks), I lost my little Edward Thomas to IC at 20 weeks. This just happened Monday, so I am still in a fog of grief.
I'm feeling very overwhelmed at all the obstacles in front of me. I was wondering if anyone else had to deal with this double-whammy and was still able to not only get pregnant again, but also beat the IC obstacle. I feel bad posting something so depressing here, but my hope is there is at least one person out there who got through this...
i'm very sorry about your loss! many hugs coming your way, including for the twin! please give yourself time to simply rest and grieve.
i know that there are some success stories around the board exactly like your situation. please believe that with proper care, you can have the family you dream of. i have had two successfull cerclages, though my fertility problems were solved with metformin and diet. most cysters' pregnancies are hard-won and terribly precious. we all understand how much your babies were/are loved and wanted and now treasured forever in your heart.
i hope you can find some peace as you deal with such a recent loss, and don't hesitate to post whatever you need to vent. that's exactly why this forum exists.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I replied on your other thread with information that I hope will help you in the future. I hope you find some measure of comfort in sharing with others who have suffered losses here. (((hugs)))
i posted on your other thread also, i just want to say again that IC does not have to be the end of the road, you just have to really find a team that works with you and have a game plan...best of luck to you and i hope you find peace and comfort soon while thinking of your angels

Hi,
I'm so sorry for your loss, it is hard enough doing IVF but for it all to be snatched away is so cruel...I know
I have had 2 IC loses 17 weeks and 20 weeks from IVF pregnancys, then having a cerledge put in and carring my IVF daughter to 38 weeks she is now 15 months. I was on progesterone support for 13 weeks and then had the suture put in, I had no problems after this and am looking forward to going back for more IVF treatment in the next few months.

I am so sorry for your loss. Yes, I have suffered in a situation similar to yours. After 13 years and our third IVF proceedure, we finally conceived twins!!! Sadly we lost them at 20 weeks on June 9,2004. We did go on to try again, conceived and with a cerclage I carried my daughter until 35.6 weeks. She is now 10.5 months and is awry as can be!!!! Picking yourself back up is the hardest thing you will ever do, but there is hope. For me that made a huge difference. If you have not found it yet, MSN has a great site - http://groups.msn.com/IncompetentCervixSupport
This site offered me immeasurable support and gave me hope.

It is great to hear success stories. Bec and Wendy - were any of your IVF pregnancies from FET? I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but my next step will be a FET. I am hoping not to have to do the whole process over again (though I will in a heartbeat if I have to).
Myrtle,
Eliza is a FET ICSI baby, my pregnancys first one was a stim fresh second one was FET and then Eliza. Those 3 months are really important as much as it hurts not to TTC ( which I found the hardest) when I was awaiting the next cycles it made it feel alittle flat on top of everything else. Spoil yourself and have the knowledge for your next sucess that everything is going to be perfect. Sometimes losing our angels gives us the answers to have living angels. I look forward to chatting to you more!
