Cool Crying while on Provera?

This is just my 5th day taking provera, I have 5 more to go. Starting yesterday, I noticed the slightest thing will just make me sad, and all I want to do is lay around the house (i'm a house wife anyway, lol) and cry!
For the most part I can't even tell myself why I want to cry. I swear I could just drop something and it'd break my heart.
Is this normal to be this out of wack while taking Provera?

Just wondering... Because I have no idea what is going on.

Sounds normal to me!

I am on day 9 of 10 of my quarterly Provera. I go from horny, to sad, to enraged, to eating everything in sight, to depressed, and then back to horny and hungry again! My poor DF! He knows what to expect by now, at least. I hate to tell ya but for me these mood swings usually last most of the way through AF.

At least you're not alone!

Hugs!

Just wanted to let you know, I've been on Provera too many times to count now and it always makes me crazy moody. Some months were worse than others, but I can remember a few really bad doses where my mood would change hourly!!!

I have been on injections to concieve and they don't even compare to the moodiness of Provera.

Hang in there!

Default it is progestin

Provera is synthetic; it's progestin. When I was on depo, the worst & heaviest dose of progestin, I turned into a psychotic lunatic. So I imagine the lower doses certain could cause crying/mood-swings.

You might wanna try npc or natural Prometrium (the real progesterone) instead. I've never had a mood-swing problem with them; in fact, I usually feel calm and mellow on them. Either one should help to bring on AF.
