Default Cuts front to back?? Waaay TMI

Hi,
Sorry if this is in the wrong place or more information than you wanted, but I don't know where else to ask.

In the past, I've had tiny little almost 'cuts' in my perineum, not all the way from vaginal opening to anus, but little almost 'thready' cuts. But recently I've had thicker, longer ones. Now I've got a little line going all the way from front to back and I don't know why. I've been keeping the area clean by cleaning it gently with baby wipes.

What's weird is they heal themselves, and then come back at other times, nothing I can pinpoint. They only hurt if I stretch, or some urine gets in.

Anyone have anything similar?

I've never had sex and so obviously never given birth, so can't think of any other cause.

LoneCyster

I wonder if it could be a yeast infection? I know it is possible in that region of the female anatomy as well. When you have this problem, it might be a good idea to see a gyno for some help. It must hurt like crazy, sorry to hear you have this problem. Good Luck!

I think it sounds like an allergy too (considering you've never had sex).

Or possibly thrush.

I've had a similar problem on and off over the last year . . . but my cut is located at the top of my butt crack.

Sometimes it just appears and other times it literally cracks open on the spot, like a few a weeks when I was bent over shaving my legs and I felt is split.

It's painful and sore and stings when I'm in the shower and the water hits it. It's somewhat slow to heal because I often re-split it over and over when I sit on the toilet.

It does eventually heal up, but always comes back.

I've wondered what causes it as well.

So I just did some researching and came across something I would have never guessed . . . it could be jock itch (tinea cruris), which women can get just like men.

I believe it's a very similar fungus to the one that causes athlete's feet (tinea pedis).

Interestingly, the split at the very top of my crack resembles the cracks I get between my toes when I've had this.

It requires fungal treatment or it will just reoccur.

Hi there - brand new here! I, too, used to have the problem with the cut at the top of the crack. Wow, I can honestly say I've never typed a sentence like that before lol! But I found it was from too much moisture. I started powdering the area after every shower and haven't had a problem since.

Is your skin white, or have white patches? Is the skin thin? Does it itch? Look up lichen sclerosis, it may be the start of that.

This isnt really on the issue of the main post, but may answer a question to this post. If you have the bump that opens up at the top of your butt crack, you should have it checked out. It could most likely be something called a pilonidal cyst. I had one for years that did that and would just open up. In Feb i had surgery on it to have it removed. It hormonal driven, so according to my doc could be linked to PCOS. Just a little info i thought i would share! They never get better, just slowly get worse!

No, not for me. I'm not talking about cracks in my anus/rectum area. It's at the very top of my buttocks, directly below my tailbone.

That's interesting. I'd totally forgotten, but now that you mention it, the crack is often preceded by a pimple like bump that really hurts.

I haven't had the problem all summer, which makes me realize it's not a moisture problem beacause I've been so hot and sweaty down in that area.

If it does occur again, I'll go in and have my doctor look at it.

thanks all, and for not laughing at my embarressing problem.

Has anyone actually been to see a doctor for this issue? Seems like a lot of women have it but no one has been to see anyone about it. Well, let me correct myself, no one has posted that they have seen a dr. I have not had this problem but if it does occure I'd like to have a idea of what I my be dealing with. Information posted on here by other women has been so helpful to me. Thanks everyone
