Cycle starting BEFORE last active day of hormones?

I am using Nuvaring. Past 3 cycles AF starts a day before I am supposed to remove the ring. was wondering if this happened to anyone else? Are the hormones maybe not lasting as long as they should for me?

I can't tell you why this happens . . . but it happens to me too. My doctor said it was nothing to worry about. The ring is designed to "run out of" hormones at the end. She said once my period starts . . . even if it is a couple days before I am to take my ring out . . . to just take it out and put a new one in 7 days from that date.

She also said you can just leave it in until your take out date . . no problem.
