My obgyn told me to take the clomid on CD 5 and also to take with it the cyclo progynova !! I know that the use of cyclo progynova is to regulate menses .. so does anyone know why taking it with the clomid who help the ovulation so it regulate menses too ??

hi sorry to sound dumb but i dont recognise that treatment that you are reffering is this something you get from your doctor or is it herbal i live in the uk and i was andering wehre i can get this either at the doctors or the chemist

Hi,

The cyclo progynova is not a herbal treatment .. it contains 11 tablets of natural estrogen and 10 tablets of natural progestron .. all it does is to regulate menses ( it's not a contraceptive of course) . Before taking it my menses were very irregular it comes every 55, 75 days but when i'm on it , it comes every 28 days, but i can never know if i'm ovulating while taking it or no because when i began the progestron tablets the BBT elevates. this month i'm waiting for AF to show up so i can begin taking Clomid 100 from CD5 to 9 ( my first month). the strange thing is that my doc told me to take the cyclo progynova with the clomid and i don't understand why taking it although i won't be able to know from the bbt if i will ovulate , also my doc wants me to go for an ultra sound on CD 14 to check the eggs and then i have to take an injection on CD 16.

Lisa, the cyclo progynova is actually synthetic, not natural...just to let ya know. Good luck with treatment!
