Default cymbalta

Hello my doc just startred me on this today for GAD and panic attacks, I was just wanting to get some info on this from people who have taken it. I have also read a few places that it can badly affect your liver and wonder if I should be worried about that.

I don't know about the liver thing. I honestly feel great on it. I'm tired but I think that's my Lupron therapy. It is killer to get off though. I missed one dose and I was a basket case the next day! Don't miss a dose!

I'm on it for depression. So far the medicine is working pretty good, but if I miss a dose of it I get so sick to my stomach. Definitely don't miss any of your doses.

Everyone reacts to AD's differently....if you can't sleep or feel bad on this one you might just need to try a different one.

I took it for mild depression and panic/anxiety - it was great. I had taken lexapro and welbutrin - but I felt the best on cymbalta.

Pugzzy79,
Hey girl! I just switched over after being on Lexapro for one year. The first couple of weeks were hard, I didn't feel so great, but so far it feel like it's really been helping me. But I haven't been on it long enough to know for sure.
But just give it time to see if it really works.

Question new to cymbalta

I was just prescribed this today mainly for anxiety, so I'll post an update when I feel it kicking in!

Hi my dr. prescribed my Cymbalta for depression and for diabetic nerve pain in my feet and legs. I started it on wed. I took it wed evening and didn't sleep at all that night. So I switched to taking it in the morning. I feel better now. I do feel sleepy throughout the day some but I am also on strong antibodics for a bad pelvic inflammatory infection. I think it's the antibodics making me tired.

Tera :-)

Question Just got the script today...

I was just given Cymbalta today for the same reason and I am also curious if anyone else has taken it and how it has worked for them?

My doc did tell me that I should take it in the morning because insomnia can be an issue, especially at first. I took Zoloft many years ago and it worked but I felt very 'blah', very vanilla. Xanax helped for acute panic attacks, but can be addictive so not good for long term use. Also, had no libido. Hoping Cymbalta is better...

Just a note- this medicine works WONDERS for me!! I am on 60mg a day. The first two weeks or so was bad dry mouth and some nausea, but those have gone away, thankfully. I do have insomnia, which still lingers. I take Tylenol PM and also I have the option of Lunesta if needed, which is prescription only. If anyone has insomnia with this medicine, let me know how you take care of this. I would love to feel sleepy and tired again! I'm not hyper... just alert, moreso. But very little anxiety and I am rarely depressed... it's great! I'm sensitive to medications, so it may work better for me and not as well for others, depending on your body. Oh and I also rarely feel hungry- my appetite has decreased dramatically, which is good because I won't overeat!

Default I had horrible side effects with Cymbalta

Hi there,

This is my first post. I had a terrible time with cymbalta. I felt like I was drunk the whole time I was on it. After a week I was switched to 10mg of Lexapro and it has been great for my anxiety and depression. GOOD LUCK!

I have a fatty liver and my dr. said cymbalta is ok to take with bad livers. I have been feeling great on cymbalta and have been on it June. We couldn't afford the medicine so my dr. gave me samples and I went to the cymbalta website and printed out a form for low income people and i had to fill it out and attach a copy of our tax papers and then my dr. had to fill out a little section on it and she sent it in to the company. They sent me a 4 month supply of cymbalta and once I run out they will send me more. You should check it out.

Good Luck,
Tera
