Default Cymbalta

I had an allergic reaction to Lexapro. So, now my dr perscribed Cymbalta. Is anyone else on it? What side effects did you have? Did it help your panic Attacks? Depression/ freak-outs?

No real side effects, okay for anxiety, not great, but then again I'm bipolar so stuff's probably more complicated for me.

I have been on anti-depressants since 1999 and have experienced a point where they don't feel like they are doing anything for me, so I end up being switched to something different. I've been on Zoloft, Prozac, and Effexor. I am currently on Prozac and was planning to ask the doctor her opinion of Cymbalta. Anyone on it right now and feel it is a great med? Or not worth it? Thanks for the help!

I've been on cymbalta with metformin for almost a year. I've lost 50 lbs. with God's help and the medicine. Also, I have to say my depression and my temper is much easier for me to manage. Before my dh and I were having marital difficulties. Now, it's like we've got the people back we feel in love with. For me it's worked really well. Just be for warned that you may not feel that great at first when you take it, for me it was like a low grade flue. Also, you will definitely notice it when you skip a dose. Another thing don't worry about the sexual side effects. I had difficulty achieving "o" for about a month or so after starting cymbalta. Now I have a higher drive and can have multiples. Really I'd recommend trying cymbalta. Good luck!
