Thumbs down

Hey there,

I do get weird pains like that sometimes after and during exercise too. Fortunately i dont seem to get them as bad as u describe. I find that if i take regular breaks i dont have such a problem.

Scar tissue!!

If you have a good doctor, ask for a referal to a

PELVIC PHYSICAL THERAPIST for PELVIC FLOOR THERAPY

It sure helped for me.
I am back to having more and more pain though, so it is about time for me to go back in. The PT will help stretch those muscles and scar tissue. The scare tissue is what is normally found in cronic pelvic pain.

I know when I talked to my endocronoligist about exercise, he told me the only exercise I could do was walking. He said the more strenuous the exercise, the more pain I would have and more of a chance that I'll have a cyst rupture. He also recommended losing weight by dieting (the low carb diet) and once some of the weight comes off, the better you'll feel and more exercise you'll be able to do without pain.

Don't know if this will help, but I've had pain around my right hip/groin area for years, I also have a (recently discovered) cyst on my ovary on that side. To compound it, a few years ago I tripped down some stairs and landed on the right side. Needless to say, two pregnancies later and the cyst problem hasn't helped. I thought it was a varicose vein but that was negative. I finally went to my internist who pronounced it a muscular problem and sent me off to a physical therapist.

Here's the thing: turns out I've been walking wrong!!!! I tend to splay my feet out like a duck when I walk, and thought it was because my feet are flat. Nope - and the pain I was experiencing is because I am very flexible and was hyperextending and you could feel and hear my bones pop in my hip when I walk. Icky, huh? When the therapist made me feel the bone I thought I'd faint. Got the heebe geebies. Was told I'd have to retrain my hip muscles as my thigh muscle (the big one in front, can't remember what it's called) and the hamstring have taken over! Since starting the hip exercises a week ago I've noticed less pain in the right side, my hips actually have been slimming down and I have been making sure my feet and knees are aligned instead of turned out.

Hope this helps ya!

Anytime you have surgery you can develope scar tissue.
This is usually the reason for pelvic pain(something the dr's don't tell you) Did they find endometreosis? Have you gotten the results from the dr about your LAP?

You should make an appt to talk about it. While your there ask them to refere you to pelvic floor physical therapy. They can also help stretch those adhesions so they are not pulling as tight.

I am about ready to go in again myself.

The problem with adhesions is if they go in to remove them, you can actually develope them again from that surgery! Terrible cycle!
So most dr's won't do it unless they are going in for another reason.

Mine is directly linked to having my tubes tied in 1996.
I finally found information on the web from others going through it. They have proof now about a hormone disorder(simular to pCOS)that causes the hormones to mess up.
(I'll post more on that later)

So make an appt and talk to your doctor.

Patty

Hey Patty
I didnt have endo which was good and all they found with the lap was poloyps in my womb which they removed (but i believe are now back - getting it checked out) Prehaps i have scar tissue from where they removed them. I will definatley be getting a referal to a pelvic floor therapist
Thanks so much for all your help

Hmmm...I'm experiencing increased pain and more frequently then ever before. The odd thing is that I have turned over a new leaf and have been doing everything right as of late, i.e, drinking 8 glasses of water, training for a 5k, etc. Unfortunately, both running and waking up from a nap= cyst pain. It is so odd considering the fact that I don't have hip issues nor have i ever had a surgery.

My hope is that I'm getting the cyst pain because the cysts are going away? :p Die cysts, die!
