Cyst Surgery tonight on Doc on PAX 4/05

Tonight on Doc a doctor decided to take both ovaries (they had cysts) from a lady. Doc intervened and talked the patient into having 2 surgeries- one to remove one ovary and the second to remove the cysts from the second ovary. The second ovary ruptured during the second surgery, but the surgeon saved 1/2 the ovary. PCOS was never mentioned or any treatment for polycystic ovaries except for surgery to remove the ovaries and/or cysts. The possibility of infertility or the cysts returning were also not mentioned.
