You cannot be in the presence of a profoundly vaccine damaged child and not know that child could be your own. And you cannot try to comfort a mother who has just buried a baby who has died from a vaccine or a disease and not know that you could be the one standing over the grave. When it happens to your child, the risks are 100 percent.
i have two types right now that have flaired up. i have pimple type pimples on my butt- both in horrible places- and one that is more like a cyst that is right where my tailbone is. the cyst comes and goes and is very uncomfortable when i sit. the others are painful as well, but i'm not as frustrated with those as much.
i am under a lot of stress right now, and have found pimples on me more, as well as a dry scalp, both of which i think are related to the stress.
I find that I get more when I'm stressed too...mine are more on my inner cheeks lol sorry so graphic...but not on the outside part of my behind. It's really embarrassing esp. when I dont want my husband to see them!!

i told my doc about the cyst one- cause it was SO painful, and wasnt a puss filled pimple, but hard. she had me go to a surgeon because she thought it was an ingrown hair and it would keep coming back. well, i had long hair then, and had just taken a shower when i met with this old man quack, and one of my hairs had fallen and landed there, so when he checked me out, a) my bump wasnt their of course, and b) there was a hair there. well, he told me it was just sore because i dont wash well enough!!! and he left the room. i went home crying so hard, that my kids thought i had cancer.
by the way, my cyst comes back, just like my regular doctor said it would, but i will never go back to that quack, even if it means no more pain!
what a jerk, it's embarrassing enough to actually go to see a dr. about this and then he says that?? I'm sorry you had to deal with that, some people are so insensitive, I'm surprised they are doctors. I want to see a dr. but I can't imagine what it would be like to let someone check me there!

Jenny, the cyst above your tailbone, more than likely it is a pilonidal cyst. To have it go away permanetly you would have to have surgery. I just recently learned about this because my Sarah's Dr said she will eventually have to have surgery. Sarah is only 5 weeks but has an extremely large dimple below her tailbone. I will be going for a 2nd opinion, but in reading up on the pilonidal cysts, it sounds like whast you have.
incidently, I too have pimples on my butt and I am embarrassed by it, but nothing seems to help. Hopefully thing will get better once i start meds.

as part of PCOS I am sure a lot of us have excess hair. Well our buts are not excluded from this attractive problem. When I had mine waxed- yes I did that, actually I let my husband do it. When it started to grow back I got a ton of them. I also get them in the bikini are after I shave. Not all of them come to a head. Sometimes they even become permanent hard lumps. My dermatologist told me what they were a few years ago ( I had a couple on my legs)

thank you. yes, this sounds just like what my doc said it was. i just looked it up online- cause i had forgotten the name- and its right. i have all but the oozing and fever, cause i have to be dying to have a fever.
good luck with your baby. its not a pleasant thing to have to live with.
I am fairly lucky with face acne, but did get butt acne. The gluc actually helped clear it up. Before that, I used facial acne products (facial soap, toner/clarifier, clearasil pads, and acne cream on there).
Is the pilonidal cyst related to the dimple beneath your DD's tailbone, or is it a separate issue? I'm just curious because my DD has a very large tailbone dimple, too, but she hasn't had any problems with cysts.

I get the pimples too, and it is usually hair related. Plus, I've read SOMEWHERE that with PCOS our skin doesn't always sluff off like normal, so we're more inclined to have the boil-type pimples, etc...
and Jenny - I've had a pilonidal cyst for years. It abcessed on me when I was 19 and I had surgery, but it didn't heal right and had it removed again, but after it came back again, I was through dealing with it. Mine has come and gone now for another 17 years.
Not fun...

so surgery isnt always a cure for it? well that makes me feel better about not wanting to go through it all again. i'm sorry you went through it all several times. it sure feels horrible! thank goodness its gone now, it was really painful for a few days last week.
I have these too! I first noticed them when I was 13. Didnt tell the my doc for 4 years In May 2002 when i was 17 I noticed a small pea sized bump on my tail bone. It was quite painfull so I went to my doc and told her. She said it was a boil and gave me some antibiotics. They didnt work and it grew in size and spred up my back and down between my butt cheaks! Couldnt even walk, sit up or even move an inch without being in total pain. After 4 days I was taken into hospital and had it removed. I was told it may come back. And it did 4 times!. I didnt have more operations because they went within a few days. The doctor decided I would have to have an operation again to make sure it didnt come back again. So in June last year I had another op. It hasnt came back since then thank god! I wouldnt wish the pain i had on anyone. I wasnt told and didnt think for 1 second this was related to PCOS. Didnt even think others had the problem. Thanks for making me see im not alone!
Cystic pimples are just NO fun. When they show up on your sit-upon, it's even worse. You have to take care of them, because Very Bad Things can happen otherwise.
When one first shows up, it's a good idea to put a hot, wet washcloth on it, changing the washcloth as soon as it starts to cool off. Keep that up for twenty minutes, and repeat several times a day for several days, until it comes to a head. Sitting in a hot bath also helps. Then (with sterile implements ONLY), you can pop the sucker. Also, slather it with antibiotic ointment. Sometimes, though, the bacteria causing them are tough and require that you take antibiotic pills. You do have to see your doc for that. To keep them from recurring, use a body wash with salicylic acid (aspirin) and a stiff brush.
Of the Very Bad Things that can happen - you could pick up a staph infection. Those are really tough to clear up. Even worse, though, depending on where that cyst is, you could get an anal fissure. Basically, this means you have an extra hole in your backside that connects to the original one, and that requires surgery. (All together now - "EEEEEEUUUUWWWWW!")
